A Total Fire Ban has been declared throughout parts of New South Wales tomorrow.

After a Total Fire Ban was declared in the west of the state today, the NSW RFS have declared another ban tomorrow with areas on the coast included.

Owing to predicted severe fire weather for tomorrow, Friday 6 September 2019, a Severe fire warning has been issued for the Far North Coast including Ballina; Byron; Clarence Valley; Kyogle; Lismore; Richmond Valley; Tweed.

The North Coast has been declared to be in Extreme danger including Bellingen; Coffs Harbour; Port Macquarie-Hastings; Kempsey; Nambucca; Mid-Coast, and New England has also been declared Extreme including Glen Innes Severn; Tenterfield; Uralla; Walcha; and, Armidale.

All fire permits are suspended as of Midnight Thursday 5 September 2019, until at least 11:59pm Friday 6 September 2019.

A total fire ban means no fires out in the open – you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire. This includes general purpose hot works, which are not to be done in the open (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame).
