It is the classic case of Coal Inc frontmen Howard, Abbott, Turnbull, and Morrison misleading the Australian people for business interests with denial, and inaction. They choose to ignore scientific advice by not drastically reducing CO2 emissions, which has increased the greenhouse effect, changing the climate and contributing to runaway global warming with its heatwaves, bushfires, droughts, and floods.

The result – tremendous suffering, death, and species extinction – all for profit.

A Liberal planet is incompatible with life. Centuries ago, a wise American Indian said, ‘you can’t eat money’ – or coal.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

And there are alternatives if only they would be published by Murdoch or Sky News you might be aware of them as the rest of us are – including Murdoch’s son who publicly berated him this week for his anti-science stance. Then you could relax and stop raging at the world.
