Scott Morrison’s religious beliefs have a simplistic fatalism that is dangerous when held by ‘the leader of nation‘. But his former profession is also a worry.

The classic model of capitalism is that businesses compete for customers in terms of quality of services. But this is no longer a valid model, as nowadays businesses compete largely in terms of advertising.

Advertising is a form of lying, it’s just that it is a form of lying we have grudgingly come to accept. So far most of his, life Scott Morrison has been a professional liar.

Unfortunately, because advertising is such an important aspect of the modern economy, Scott Morrison probably regards his career of deception as meritorious. But it is also hard to believe that he sees his political spin as any different.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
