Two fire trucks, two police vehicles and an ambulance have attended the scene.

The truck driver has been assessed and treated at the scene for minor injuries by the ambulance officers.

  1. I have often watched these council collection trucks commuting down Myocum Road at very high speed and thought how dangerous they are. On this one-way section of road I can only assume that speed, distraction or both are at play. I’m very glad no one was seriously hurt.

  2. He looks to have been very lucky to walk away from this. These trucks have both left and right hand side controls, so maybe that saved him. Given the location of the accident you would nearly have to assume that speed was a factor. Let’s face it some of these garbage truck operators drive them like their stolen.
