Robert Podhajsky (Letters, 22 April) identified a significant source of data that helps reveal the true nature of the response to this year’s viral pandemic. That is, comparative rates of viral infection and mortality relative to previous years – a wealth of evidence that has been glaringly absent from mainstream discourse. This is just one of many evidence streams that clearly demonstrate the fraudulent nature of this manufactured crisis. Other sources include, for example, Event 201; a pandemic simulation sponsored by vested interests, including John Hopkins Center for Health Security, the CDC, the World Economic Forum, and the vaccine-promoting Bill Gates Foundation, staged in October last year, just prior to the pandemic becoming ‘real’.
And we’re meant to believe the multi-trillion dollar bailout of Wall Street and the lockdown of the global economy, entailing the devastation of untold livelihoods, is necessitated by a virus that turns out to be neither as deadly nor as infectious as the common flu.
As soon as humans developed the means to move long distances out of the environments in which they evolved, the results of dramatically disrupting ecosystems – from the fine competitive balance wrought by millennia of evolution and natural selection – became observable. The Silk Road brought outbreaks of the bubonic plague and there was devastation brought about by explorers like James Cooke and crew introducing diseases to populations that had had no previous exposure (therefore immunity) to them.
Outside the realm of pathogens, the effect can be seen in the destruction caused by introduced species like cane toads amongst an island of animals that had not evolved defences against its toxin. It can be seen in the sunburn and skin cancer rates of the pale members of our population whose ancestors relocated them to a greater intensity of UV than they appear equipped for.
It only takes a simple mutation to turn a microscopic organism into a wholly new threat (eg COVID19) with little defence amongst the population (now the entire world) in which it has been unleashed – not all may be lethally affected but they will readily succumb to infection and allow it to spread exponentially if unchecked.
The discussions we hear about the pandemic seem to assume some basic background awareness of the forces of evolution and natural selection and the implications of major disruption – along with some basic maths. I wonder though if this is wise when I read comments like this and others that confidently throw around theories about motivations and dismiss the underlying threat.
This pathogen is only about five months old with much still unknown about its pathology, likely trajectory, long-term impacts and the best strategies against it. We really need to leave it to the much cleverer people we have amongst us – with the years of knowledge, training and skills – to keep exploring and advising. But in listening it’s also good for us to apply some of the basic knowledge and understanding we should have learnt at school.
And really, do people think that the world media is united in inventing stories about ice-skating rinks being converted to morgues and putrid smelling trucks stacked with bodies outside overwhelmed funeral parlours? Or do they think it’s all just a plot here in Australia where, for who knows what combination of fortuitous factors we have so far avoided as much tragedy. Factors that might include a head start on numbers, a generally good sense of collective responsibility and a reasonable percentage of people who value and remember their education.
Dear Liz, sadly you are a disciple of tropes and fiction created by Disney history. To suggest global commerce and travel is only a recent event is pure fiction. People have travelled in the millions since time began.

When humans invented the wheel, they used that wheel to travel and soon we had gravel roads to push back the natural environment and the trees, the bush and undergrowth. Much of nature fell and that falling and falling out with Man disrupted the delicate ecosystems that nature established over millions of years. The Man-made roads brought microbes from humans with much speed travelling and lots of bacteria from other places. In Asia the Silk Road brought outbreaks in bubonic plague and then on the oceans the ships of the British sailing on the wind around the world in discovery, the British, they established ports in many countries for the British Empire. There was Captain James Cook who discovered the east coast of Australia and there was Captain James Cooke. Cooke in his derelict way and the religious missionaries carried the word of God and introduced diseases to the indigenous peoples of the world to European human diseases of the cities. Thus was borne the ‘missionary position’. The term came about from the injection of religion.

The virus is not 5 months old.. Not sure why everyone continues to believe coronavirus is some new phenomena… Coronavirus has been around for probably 1,000’s of years. Yet, we gave it a title back the early 1960’s. We’ve faced it before with SARS and MERS and we’ll face it again in our tomorrows.

Thanks for the warning, Me, but I don’t see myself – and a great many others I know – as bowing before our almighty government nor rolling over and playing dead. You see, many of us thought the WHO were lagging badly in declaring a pandemic. Many of us had imposed on ourselves the measures you decry quite a while before our government told us to because we could see the situation unfolding globally and had started listening to authoritative sources on the emerging science.
We were extremely critical of the Grand Prix plans and our Hillsong convention and football enthusiast PM. We wondered how far we needed to let our infection rate rise (especially in the absence of widespread testing) before we looked to the stable door. Questioned shy we continued to allow travellers from the US and returnees to move freely on their arrival.
A report in The Age suggested that phone metadata (yes I’m just as concerned!) indicated that a large percentage of Victorians had reached the same conclusions significantly before they were directed to stay home.
When John Roskam and the Institute of Public Affairs have been amongst the chief critics of shutdown it makes you think! Not form conspiracy theories, just contemplate!
What’s amazing to me, given the political discord not only in the US, but throughout the globe, is how leaders of ALL the countries afflicted by Covid 19 have successfully conspired with ALL of the governmental health agencies throughout the globe, to so successfully get such large segments of their populations to “fear being near their family, friends and loved ones and everyone else,” and have gotten them to become “slaves” by distancing and allowing themselves to be tested. Further, this massive international conspiracy has somehow made us believe that the hundreds of thousands of people, whose caskets we’ve seen on TV, have actually died from Covid, and that the first-person accounts from our own friends and relatives who are the front line nurses and doctors traumatized by witnessing multiple daily deaths, are somehow real. In an older TV show Babylon 5, one of the protaganists, Londo a centauri poisons Lord Rifa with PART A of a 2 part poison. Some of the vaccines coujld be as they state in Plandemic Part A and when you get the engineered Patr B – covid 29, 31, etc… the targeted population may die. Not too far fetched in IMHO.
I call the flu shots – FOOL shots and am 65 years old and NEVER have had any and I do just foine. Sure, I have had the flu once and a while, but I stave it off mainly by taking liquid pro-biotics.
I totally agree with David, Chris, Me, and Phil C. Just a little story, I had never had a flu shot and people kept saying you need to get one. I had not had the flu in several years. So I decided to get the flu shot, within a week or two, I had the worst flu I had ever gotten in my entire life and it lasted for nearly 2 weeks. This Covid is a manufactured crisis with vested interests. Whether it be about financial gain, power, or both, by the higher beings who want to control the world. America and the whole world needs to wake up.

Sounds like bowing down or bending over to the powers that be to me!
And let’s look at some of the things these “cleverer” people have done for us, such as; created nuclear weapons and energy, dirty bombs, DDT and Glysophates, put fluoride in drinking water. Just because they are ‘educated experts’ in their feilds, doesn’t mean that they are flawless or have everones interests at heart.
And I don’t think any of us need cleverness to put two and two together. If a person or group of people have immense wealth and power, then they obviously have a vested interest in keeping that. And it is a tall stretch to think they’ll have the people’s best interests in mind when doing so.
Also the numbers don’t lie. One woman dies at the hands of a former or current partner every week, and over 3000 people from suicide annually in Australia. 70 000 die in an average flu season in the USA. And how much money gets thrown at them?
