Police have issued 20 Penalty Infringement Notices (PINs) following a number of alleged breaches of Ministerial Directions under the Public Health Act across the state at the weekend.

Ballina PINs

Officers from Richmond Police District were conducting duties at a sports ground at Ballina on Saturday, when they became concerned about the increasing crowd numbers.

Police observed that people were not being counted as they entered the ground and after it was estimated that more than 1000 were in attendance, event organisers were directed to reduce the crowd size.

Play was suspended for a short time while the crowd was reduced by half and appropriate control measures were established.

Officials for the club were subsequently advised a $5000 PIN would be issued for failing to adhere to venue operation laws.

Other PINs

About 12.45pm on Saturday, police from Operation Border Closure stopped a Hyundai SUV at the Tocumwal border checkpoint and spoke with the male driver.

The 26-year-old man told police he was returning to Queensland and was unaware he required a permit to transit through NSW. He was provided advice on applying for a permit before being refused entry and directed to return to Victoria.

About 7am the following day (Sunday 18 October), police were advised an SUV was seen driving on the Tocumwal Railway Bridge into NSW.

Following patrols, police stopped the Hyundai SUV on the Newell Highway at Finley and spoke to the same driver. He was escorted back to border and issued a $1000 PIN for failure to comply with noticed direction in relation to section 7/8/9 – COVID-19.

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District were called to a home on Letchworth Parade, Balmoral, about 10.30pm on Saturday, following reports of a large party.

Police arrived to find more than 100 young people congregated and spoke with the resident – a 47-year-old woman – who said many of the guests were uninvited, but she had not asked them to leave.

As police attempted to disperse the crowd, they became hostile towards the officers and threw bottles, rocks, and other projectiles before damaging property, including fences, trees and street signs.

The crowd was eventually dispersed and investigations into the incident are continuing.

Officers have since issued the woman with a $1000 PIN.

About 1.25am (Sunday 18 October 2020), officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command responded to reports of a loud party at a unit block on Hall Street, Bondi.

On arrival, police observed at least 35 people inside the unit before the group scattered and attempted to run from the area. In total, 17 people were spoken to, some of whom were found hiding in a stairwell, and were advised they would each receive a $1000 PIN.

Police continue to appeal to the community to report suspected breaches of any ministerial direction or behaviour which may impact on the health and safety of the community.

  1. The American CDC recently reported that atleast 94% of deaths certified as ‘covid’ were actually due to other causes and should be reclassified. An announcement by a spokesman for the WHO was filmed, clearly stating that WHO is not in support of the lockdowns. The inventor of the PCR tests being used for diagnostic purposes, clearly stated, (before he died in August 2019), that the PCR test is in no way a diagnostic device to screen for any kind of infection. Sweden, who did not lock down, went through their yearly flu season, just as any other year. There is now an international alliance of hundreds of doctors speaking out involved in a class action regarding the measures which have been put in place around the world in the name of a ‘virus’ which has never actually been isolated, or therefore proven. It is not enough, police officers, to be just following orders. Look beyond the mainstream news which is owned by big business interests, and therefore pushes a particular narrative which supports those interests. Also, by police ‘appeal to the community to report suspected breaches’. This is direct support of community gang stalking, which is also also unethical.

  2. Ida, what the CDC actually said was that 94% of coronavirus deaths had co-morbidies, which means other conditions which can include diabetes, obesity, heart disease probably practically anything. While these conditions can shorten life, the fact that you die with them doesn’t mean you died of them. When your body is dealing with the ravages of Covid19 these extra problems don’t help as medicos have observed. The telling point of the CDC statistic is that for 6% of (known) deaths, there was NO other discernible condition present – ie the person was perfectly healthy.

Given that vast swathes of the population are obese, have diabetes, are old or have other conditions which make them vulnerable still make this a rather worrisome virus. Then there is the growing evidence that death is not the only downside with lung, kidney, brain, heart damage lingering for unknown durations.

What one advisor to the WHO recently stated was that lockdowns should not be the default or long term strategy – particularly in impoverished nations where loss of employment can mean death by deprivation just as easily as death by Covid19. That is hardly the case in Australia. The advisor did say that they were useful to gain or regain control of a situation – presumably like Victoria that went from single digit daily infection rates to over 700 in a matter of weeks. And guess what it seems to have worked.

Sweden is not a good example of management of the pandemic as they themselves have acknowledged.

You might have noticed though, Ida, that we are not exactly in lockdown in NSW and I don’t know what it is that you want to do that you can’t but I don’t feel my current life is much curtailed. Because no-one knows exactly where this nasty little pathogen is, there are some restrictions like large unregulated gatherings that would make contact tracing impossible. I reckon in a global pandemic it’s not an unthinkable sacrifice to live without these.

Can we have some citations on the international alliance of doctors as most health professionals favour conservative approaches given that they are the otherwise healthy – often young – group most likely to die or suffer long term effects, simply from doing their job.

Recently we’ve been told, a few people in Victoria didn’t think the rules were that important – perhaps they read on Instagram that is was a scamdemic- and managed to seed some clusters that have delayed the people of that state regaining their freedom – from fear of the virus as much as anything else.

When you say ‘look beyond the mainstream news’, Ida, you are encompassing a huge array of sources from public broadcasting like Al Jazeera, the ABC, BBC to the private media. Then all the medical and scientific journals would have to be in on the act as well as universities across the globe. That’s one hell of a scam. What I’d suggest is look beyond social media.

Look at the tragedy that is unfolding as the northern winter takes hold and become part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

This is a tiny selection of a wealth of evidence you will never hear on mainstream news about covid19. The government is protecting big business interests, NOT US. Police, please STOP assisting the crime !

  4. Ida, I’m very surprised that you are citing Dr David Nabarro and the WHO. I would have thought that as both, the individual and the organisation, belong quite firmly in the camp that not only believes the virus exists but take it extremely seriously, you would see them as part of the evil conspiracy to rob us of our personal liberties and promote the interests of big business.

But let me congratulate you on consulting these more credible sources. The statements you attribute to Nabarro are pretty much exactly as I paraphrased his position. He has been stating concern recently however that he is being misquoted, as his remarks have been seized upon by all those ready to advocate a ‘do nothing’ approach sometimes described in Aussie vernacular as ‘let it rip’.

With the vast chasms of largely unregulated, unrigorous internet material out there, I am sure you could fill many pages with youtube and other references that support a particular line. The trouble is, for a debate in a highly specialised and technical area, quality is a lot more important than quantity.

There is a vast array of more accountable, peer reviewed research that sways the other way ie that the virus actually exists and is dangerous. There is nuanced disagreement but much consensus.

Let’s say that you are right, that the media and the government are protecting the interests of big business. Why is it then that the most conservative forces of capitalism are the ones advocating against lockdowns and lesser restrictions. They are also not beyond using their pals in the tame media to push this line. You see the measures to contain the virus don’t suit the capitalist agenda on a number of fronts, the curtailment of commerce and consumption being an obvious one. Then there has been the reevaluation of what people, jobs, functions are the really vital ones – hedge fund managers and PR specialists aren’t receiving top billing! What does big business have to gain from lockdowns?

Apart from the media, and all stripes of government, do you distrust all our nation’s, and the world’s, most respected virologists and epidemiologists? Are they ignorant or complicit puppets in the ‘crime’?
