Hayo van der Woude, Mullumbimby

That chilling sound of gasping for gas comes from our Liberal and Labor leaders below fossil fool boots. Outdated industries must be allowed to die gracefully.

Government support distorts the markets, creating false demand. Capitalism has never worked for most citizens. It has always been corporate socialism by another name, and extortion.

It’s criminal to give our cash to organisations that secrete it away – business confidentiality tricks.

It’s time for the biggest economic reboot ever. Only individuals know their own needs and desires. Their collective wisdom is the only true indicator for markets in goods and services. They far outstrip government wisdom and effectiveness.

The cash splash indicated the possibilities inherent in a social wage. Go hard with generous, sustained free money, gifted equally to all people. Truly democratic!

Take courage, start too high, and pare it back slowly when the effects are apparent.

Oops! We don’t yet have the right people at the helm.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.

    • Yo Barrow old son. ProMO ScoNO, what a magician he is, yeah. ScottyfromMarketing, his Mushrooms / Quiet Australians, they in their collective comatose state. They briefly stir at budget and election time to count their fresh round of dosh hand me outs and say…How Good is our ScoNO!…then they go back into coma. Gas, the wonder of Methane, yeah. Gas is a worse Climate killer than ScoNO’s beloved pet black wonder rock – “This is coal. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be scared. It won’t hurt you. Its coal”. Gas is the future, eh Barrow, ’cause ScoNO told us so, so it must be so, yeah – “gas chose itself” said the ScoNO but we know that’s bollocks. Thankfully we are not faced with an unprecedented Climate Emergency so we can go burning away with the Methane.

  2. Hayo, we don’t have the right people in & out of government. All’s full
of business-trickery & high rollers manipulating the largest cross section
of people. The so-called ‘lucky country’ is pushed into taking a walk on
    ‘the wild side’.
