I believe the following information is essential knowledge for all Australians. Independent Senator Rex Pattrick has blasted Morrison for being ‘addicted to secrecy’ as he moves to prevent National Cabinet from responding to any Freedom of Information (FOI) requests. Morrison persists in this anti-democratic quest despite being previously legally warned by a Judge, when he solely represented himself as ‘Cabinet’.

This ongoing attempt by Morrison to destroy democracy can also be seen when we examine the emergence of nuclear submarines as a weapon against any potential Chinese threat! This operation will be ready in 40 years. This opens the mind to many questions. Why dismiss French and European alliances? Where will the nuclear fuel come from? Will nuclear plants in Australia aid the demise of coal production in Australia? The Morrison government is in deep in its own shite with Porter being a huge liability and an election imminent.

Be that as it may it has not deterred Morrison from his dream of controlling and destroying democratic institutions, and lacking a Bill of Rights in Australia citizens are left very vulnerable to the military narratives surrounding ‘security against invasion’.

The manner in which Morrison is destroying FOI has been described by lawyers as ‘sleight of hand’. Morrison does not seem to realise that such destruction of democracy structurally creates elements of the very nation he fears; that being totalitarian China. He wants total secrecy of government information locked up for 30 years!

How can this man stand before an international audience and say that Australia is meeting all climate change obligations, and changes required to diminish Earth destroying pollutants and give future generations a path to life?

We are aware that the government’s anti-democratic agenda is a step backwards for transparency in politics. All the more reason why civil society should rise up. ‘Get Up’ is running a most effective campaign folks. Get involved. Democracy needs you!

Mandy Nolan’s Soapbox: Couching an Opinion

The Bruce Lehrmann and Brittany Higgins case was never about establishing whether or not Lehrmann raped Higgins. It was about Brittany. She was established as not ‘the perfect victim’ so we overlooked the blazingly obvious fact that Bruce Lehrmann was ‘the perfect perpetrator’. An entitled, compulsive wrecking ball of cocaine, $400 steaks, free rent and very very expensive massages.
