Mullumbimby High School has had a case of COVID-19 confirmed with all staff and students requested to self isolate.
The school sent out an email from the Principal Gregory Armstrong last night (Tuesday, 7 December) confirming the case.
‘I would like to confirm with you that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19,’ said Mr Armstrong in the emal.
‘Our school will be non-operational for the on-site attendance of students and staff to allow time for contact tracing and cleaning.
‘All staff and students including those students that have just completed Year 12 are asked to self-isolate until you receive further advice.
‘There is no requirement to get a COVID-19 test at this time unless you are unwell,’ he stated.
‘NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.’
Mullumbimby High School has stated that they will continue to supply learning materials to students at the ‘learning from home hub’.
