Rain of the Far North Coast has seen many people stranded by floodwater and several events cancelled including the scheduled March4Justice in Mullumbimby.
The organisers of the event say that Sunday’s event has been cancelled due to the flood risk.
Organiser Eileen Culleton says that in the interests of safety, because of the high levels of rainfall expected on Sunday they have made the difficult decision to cancel the Mullum March4Justice Event. ‘The March4Justice Event will be broadcast on livestream from the website and YouTube so we encourage people to engage through these platforms,’ said Ms Culleton.
‘We encourage women in the community to maintain the rage and the call for justice and safety for women.’
The organisers said they hope to hold another Mullum March4Justice Event in the near future.
