To the women who rose up last week in Byron Bay for The Vagina Conversations, I am incredibly grateful. We were entertained, amazed, captivated and always in awe of these courageous women who stepped into the spotlight to share their life journeys and reflections.
Each one planted a seed of hope as their stories connected us through threads of compassion. I was changed. I carry each of them in my heart as well as a renewed determination to stand up and be heard when it counts. And to stand for those who are unable to raise their voices.
To Zenith, Mandy and all the women who stood bravely before us; exposed and raw – sometimes literally – your energy, your words and the reclaiming of your power were gifts that sprinkled over your audience and grew our courage. Thank you.

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
