The State Government has announced additional payments for flood affected communities on the North Coast during a visit to Wardell this morning.
Mr Perrottet, who visited Wardell Public School along with Education Minister Sarah Mitchell, promised $500 for parents whose children had lost educational materials such as textbooks or laptops during the two recent flooding events.

Teachers would be able to access up to $1,000 in the scheme to replace classroom materials.
‘We know that education is crucial,’ NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet told the Sydney Morning Herald during the visit.
‘I want to thank our teachers, who have had to relocate [this] school [behind me]. The commitment they had to get our kids back to school as quickly as possible [is inspiring].
‘We hear from many children, the importance of being back in school is incredibly important. Not just for educational outcomes, but for the mental health of our children as well.’
