Till Jones

The 19th Bangalow Music Festival (BMF) 2022, which is proudly owned, operated, and presented annually by Southern Cross Soloists (SXS), one of Australia’s most formidable and long-running chamber music ensembles, has announced its Locals’ Night, Emerging Stars of Tomorrow concert set for 7pm on Thursday August 11 at the A&I Hall, in Bangalow.

The event will shine a spotlight on local talent and help support student fee relief for the Northern Rivers Conservatorium of Music.

The Northern Rivers Conservatorium Student Fee Relief Program includes private donor sponsored free tickets for flood-affected schools to attend the School Concerts for free in the wake of the devastating floods that hit the broader community this year.

The 19th BMF in association with the Australian Decorative Fine Art Society – Byron Bay will award this year’s recipient of the 2022 ADFAS Byron Bay and Districts Young Musician Award (recognising the achievements of a young local musician), composer Tilly Jones from Lismore. This financial bursary will be officially presented to Ms Jones on the night.

The full ticketed program is on sale now via www.southernxsoloists.com/bangalow.

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
