NSW Police say a man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Kyogle this morning.

The reports says that at about 10.20am (Monday, 6 March), emergency services were called to Kyogle Road, Kyogle, following reports of a crash.

At the scene, police from Richmond Police District were told that a truck had left the roadway and rolled down an embankment.

The driver died at the scene. The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 20s.

A passer-by, who had stopped to assist the driver of the truck, was allegedly hit by a reversing utility a short time later.

The 45-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital for treatment of a suspected broken arm.

The 22-year-old male driver of the utility is assisting police with their inquiries.

Kyogle Road remains closed in both directions and motorists are urged to check for updates at https://www.livetraffic.com/

As inquiries continue, anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
