What we actually need is a reduction in carbon emissions, not carbon-emitting industries to greenwash their impact by investing in a solar farm or planting saplings. Season two of the Gold Coast Chamber Orchestra sees performances of Classical Gems conducted by Chen Yang in two shows with concert one on Sunday, 24 September at the Murwillumbah Civic Centre and concert two on Sunday, 8 October at Bond University.

This is the GCCO’s second full orchestra concert as Orchestra in Residence at Bond University and will feature works; ‘Moorside Suite’ (last movement) by Gustav Holst; ‘Elegy’ for solo viola, string quartet and strings by Herbert Howells; ‘Little Suite for String Orchestra’ by Peter Sculthorpe; ‘Serenade for Strings’ by Suk; ‘Sextet arranged for String Orchestra’ by Krug, and; ‘Fuga y Misterio’ for strings by Piazzolla.
