The ‘Dads’ Army’ team made up of local Byron Bay fathers performed admirably against a field of 30 other teams (across four divisions) at the annual AFL 9s tournament held at the Cavanbah Oval over October 27 and 28.
‘We came up against some former AFL players and had a lot of fun along the way,’ team member Andrew Bates said.
‘It was a great day out, a real community event’.
