Tweed Byron police say they’ve charged a 50-year-old Byron Bay man over possession of prohibited drugs and weapons found at a local campground over the weekend.
Officers say they went to a campground on Byron Bay’s Bangalow Road around 5.30pm on Saturday 11 November, whereupon they found and seized the items.
It’s understood the campground referred to is Red Devils Park.
The accused man faces eleven charges related to possession of small amounts of Ecstasy, LSD, Cannabis leaf and plants.
The charges also include possession of a prohibited crossbow, slingshot, modified speargun, blowpipe and darts.
He’s due to appear at Byron Bay Local Court on 27 November.
