At about 5pm on Sunday 17 December a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Barkers Vale, north west of Lismore, to a man in his 60s who sustained injuries after diving into water at Hanging Rock Falls.
The helicopter’s critical care medical team treated the man for possible spinal injuries before airlifting him to Lismore Hospital.
