The Skate Jam and DJ Goodie Beatdusta at Club Lane kept everything rolling along nicely in Lismore on Saturday.

Hundreds of residents and visitors came out in support of Lismore on Saturday for a delightful day of entertainment and art in the CBD and the Quad for the Back Lismore and Lismore Delights program.

From the Jarjum’s Soft Play Space and Games on the Grass with Lismore Library and the Widjabul Wia-bal Dance Group, to the Flash Bang Mob popping up here, there and everywhere, Lismore was alive and kicking for the Lismore Delights curated arts and entertainment event – the first of two to be held in the CBD.

The Widjabul Wia-bal Dance Group made everyone feel welcome at the Quad.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun again next Saturday for round two of Lismore Delights next Saturday.

The festivities run from 10am to 3pm around the city. Start at Lismore Quad for the Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, and explore the Block to find DJs and a skate jam, and bring along a t-shirt or a tote for DIY screen-printing with Nedlands Studio!

The Flash Bang Mob were popping up everywhere.

See talented jarjums in the Widjabul Wia-bal Dance Group, and hear tunes from the phenomenal Blakboi, Kate Stroud and Hussy Hicks. There will be free face painting, Collage Club, yoga and a visit from Santa, and so much more fun to discover around the Block – and lookout for the Flash Bang Mob who could show up anywhere!

Support The Echo

Keeping the community together and the community voice loud and clear is what The Echo is about. More than ever we need your help to keep this voice alive and thriving in the community.

Like all businesses we are struggling to keep food on the table of all our local and hard working journalists, artists, sales, delivery and drudges who keep the news coming out to you both in the newspaper and online. If you can spare a few dollars a week – or maybe more – we would appreciate all the support you are able to give to keep the voice of independent, local journalism alive.
