Driver charged following Coffs Harbour fatal crash

A driver has been charged following a fatal crash in the Coffs Harbour area yesterday.

The bodies of two people have been located following a light plane crash at Dugandan in the Scenic Rim, yesterday January 14.

Just before 12pm, emergency services responded to reports of an aviation incident at a location just off Bruckner Hill Road, between Dugandan and Boonah.

Upon arrival, officers located two male occupants of the aircraft, a 69-year-old and an 82-year-old, who were both declared deceased. 

Forensic Crash Unit Investigators will work with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAUS) officials to determine the cause of the crash.

No further information is available at this time.
