Work will be carried out from 8pm to 6am AEDT Sundays to Thursdays between Tuesday 12 and the end of March. Image supplied

Until the end of March there will be changed overnight traffic conditions on Sugarwood Drive and Gold Coast Highway overpass, Tweed Heads.

Motorists are advised that the changed overnight traffic conditions are to carry out essential asphalt maintenance work as part of maintenance of the Tugun bypass.

To minimise the impact to motorists, work will be carried out from 8pm to 6am AEDT Sundays to Thursdays between Tuesday 12 and the end of March, depending on weather and additional activities.

Traffic will be able to pass beside the work area, and either join the M1 or use the Gold Coast Highway. These routes are suitable for all vehicles.

Motorists are advised to allow five minutes additional travel time for the delay, drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control. Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
