A 76-year-old man died when the car he was driving crashed about 35 kms northwest of Coffs Harbour last Friday afternoon, police said.
Emergency services were called to Moleton Road, Lowanna, about 3pm Friday 15 March in response to a car having left the road and crashed into a tree.
Paramedics treated the driver on-scene but police said he died.
There were no passengers.
Officers from the Coffs/Clarence Police District declared a crime scene with specialist police attending.
A report is to be prepared for the coroner.
