Slow down: Byron school takes traffic concerns to Council

Parents, staff and residents around Byron Community School are calling for traffic to slow down on Ruskin Street, with a 99-signature petition asking Council to install two speed humps near the school.

An investigation is underway after a man died after being stabbed at Coffs Harbour on Thursday.

Emergency services were called to Ocean Parade, Coffs Harbour, about 6.40am on Thursday, 2 May and found a man in his 20s had been stabbed.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Police have now been advised the man has died.

Coffs-Clarence Police, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, have commenced inquiries into the incident under Strike Force Kooringaroo.

As inquiries into the incident continue, police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
