At about 3pm yesterday, Tuesday 14 May, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the Pacific Highway, New Italy following reports of a motorcyclist suffering serious leg injuries after collision with a barrier.
Local Ambulance Paramedics attended the location and commenced treatment of the man in his 20s prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and critical care medical team.
The man was treated and stabilised by the critical care medical team before being flown direct the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
