Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing in Ballina.
Jason Hillis, aged 78, was last seen at an aged care facility on North Creek Road, Ballina, about 12.30pm today (Saturday, 31 August, 2024).
When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers from Richmond Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police hold serious concerns for Jason’s welfare as he lives with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and due to the hot weather conditions.
Jason is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of large build and with a long white beard.
He was last seen wearing a black coat, long pants and a beanie.
Anyone with information on Jason’s whereabouts is urged to call Ballina Police Station or Triple Zero.
