A 35-year-old woman was charged with murder (domestic violence) at Nambucca Heads at the weekend.
Police on Sunday said emergency services were called to a property in Darkwood, about 67km west of Coffs Harbour, at 7pm on Thursday 22 August, after reports of discovery of a body.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District said they found the body of a 62-year-old man in a surfboard bag on the driveway of the property, sparking an investigation into the death with officers from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
Inquiries led to the arrest of a 35-year-old woman on Loftus Street, Nambucca Heads, around 2.10pm Friday 23 August.
She was refused bail overnight and was to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court Saturday 24 August.
Police said they would allege in court the woman and her victim were known to each other.
