An investigation is underway after the body of a man was located on a rural property west of Coffs Harbour.
About 7pm yesterday (Thursday, 22 August, 2024), emergency services were called to a property in Darkwood – about 67km west of Coffs Harbour – following reports a body was located.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and located the body of a man out the front of the property.
He is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in his 60s.
Police have established a crime scene and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death are underway by detectives attahed to State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
As investigations continue, detectives are urging anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV vision or information about this incident to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
