
Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Chinderah.
Rodney Dodds, aged 79, was last seen in Walsh Street, Chinderah at 11pm on Wednesday, 28 August.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Rodney is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 165cm tall, thin build, with short grey hair.
Following further information Rodney is believed to be wearing a short sleeve shirt and light-coloured long pants.
Police and family continue to hold concerns for Rodney due to his age.
As inquiries continue, local police, with the assistance of Police Rescue and SES crews, have commenced a land search in Chinderah for Rodney.
Police are also asking anyone in the area who has CCTV to check their footage for any sightings of the missing man.
