Double Delight - concert bands unite
One of two special concert band events coming to Ballina in September.

Last year, the Ballina Shire Concert Band travelled to Inverell and collaborated with Sapphire City Concert Band with combined rehearsals and concerts. Now Inverell’s band are coming to Ballina to keep the collaboration alive.

Get ready for a weekend filled with music as the Ballina Shire Concert Band and the Sapphire City Concert Band from Inverell unite for two unforgettable performances.

Organisers say this will be a unique opportunity to experience the combined talents of these accomplished musicians, oming together to deliver a diverse repertoire of music that will delight audiences of all ages.

Kick off the weekend at the historic St Mary’s Anglican Church in Ballina on Saturday 14 September, from 6.30 PM. This evening concert will offer an intimate setting, where the powerful acoustics of the church will enhance every note played.

Collaboration makes the music sweeter

BSCB regularly collaborates with concert bands across the region, providing free concerts for the community. Last month there was a collaboration day with Lismore City Concert Band. Upcoming is a collaboration day with Tweed Concert Band at the Ballina RSL on Saturday 26 October.

Next up though, the Ballina Band is inviting everyone to join them on 14-15 September for their weekend of spectacular concerts with the Sapphire City Concert Band.

Organisers are urging music fans not to miss out on this band extravaganza – whether you attend one or both events, you’re in for a treat!
