A teenager has died following a single-vehicle crash at Bogangar in Tweed Shire.
About 11pm on Saturday 21 September 2024, emergency services were called to Clothiers Creek Road following reports of a crash.
Officers attended the scene and found a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into trees.
The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 17-year-old boy, was treated by QLD Ambulance paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established and inquiries into the incident commenced by police attached to Tweed/Byron Police District.
Police have now been notified that the boy died in hospital earlier today (Thursday 26 September 2024).
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
