In 1988, Ian Trafford Walker painted the Shire’s biggest mural, the water tank, which depicts the history of Byron Bay.
Mr Walker’s latest exhibition, ‘All Aboard The Big Yellow Bus’, will be held at Murwillumbah’s M-Arts Gallery during September, with an opening on September 6 from 6pm. Ian contributed many, at times controversial, cartoons to the early Echos as well.

For four decades The Echo has printed the stories some people loved, some people hated, and some pretended not to read. If you want us to keep telling the truth, the real truth, not the sugar-coated version. We’ll need your support to keep the presses rolling.
