Around 3pm on Monday 14 October, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a cruise ship approximately 8 kilometres off Ocean Shores.
A man in his 30s was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for suspected spinal injuries.
The man was winch extracted before being transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane.
