Police have charged a man following two alleged sexual assault incidents on Friday, October 25 on the Gold Coast.

Around 4pm, police were called to a business on Mirambeena Drive, Pimpama following a report that a man had allegedly dragged a 47-year-old female employee to the floor and attempted to sexually assault her.

The female victim screamed, which alerted her colleague. The colleague and two members of the public then restrained the alleged offender. Upon arrival, police arrested the alleged offender.

Police will allege the same man assaulted a 23-year-old woman female on a train as it travelled between Beenleigh and Ormeau.

A 42-year-old Jindalee man has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to commit rape.

He appeared at Southport Magistrates Court on October 26 and was remanded in custody. He is due to reappear at Southport Magistrates Court on November 26.
