A man has died in a single vehicle crash near Murwillumbah.
About 12pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 November), emergency services were called to Dulguigan Road, Dulguigan – about 5km north of Murwillumbah – following reports a hatchback had crashed.
Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District attended and found a hatchback had crashed into a tree.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated the driver; however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 60s.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
