A B-double truck carrying beer crashed yesterday afternoon just north of the Ewingsdale junction, caused long delays for motorists travelling south on the M1 Pacific Motorway.
The accident, which happened soon after 2pm, left the truck on its side and seriously damaged. The driver escaped with minor injuries.

With multiple emergency crews on site, working in the rain, one of two southbound lanes was closed for many hours, causing long delays which stretched back beyond the Brunswick Heads turn-off.
Live Traffic NSW says the incident was completely cleared at 2.30am this morning, with traffic on the M1 returning to normal.
There was also a second truck crash yesterday afternoon at Chinderah, adjacent to the Pacific Motorway, in which the injured driver was reportedly trapped, and the Westpac emergency helicopter attended.
