Recent rain and flood warnings have sent many of us straight to the weather forecast as we try to determine if it will be rain or shine for Christmas Day.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a seven day forecast stating that, ‘a high pressure ridge will bring settled and generally dry weather to south-east Australia, with the possibility of a morning shower or two across the east coast of New South Wales.’
Byron Bay sees a sunny forecast for the big day with a temperature range from 20 to 26 degrees with a 20 per cent chance of rain. A little cloud or ‘mostly sunny’ is the prediction for Ballina, Tweed Heads, and Lismore with a maximum of 27 degrees. Tweed Heads and Lismore have a ten per cent chance of rain while Ballina has a 20 per cent chance of rain like Byron Bay.
‘It is important to note that the forecast may change as it gets closer to the day,’ stats the BOM
