
UPDATE, 2.30pm on 10 March: A ‘reduced threat, return with caution alert’ was issued for North Lismore residents as of around 11.30am on 10 March 2025.
EARLIER: Many but not all businesses and services closed owing to evacuations, power outages and road closures over the past few days in Lismore are expected to resume operations today.
A ‘reduced threat, return with caution’ alert was issued for the Lismore Central Business District shortly after midday Sunday.

North Lismore residents, however, received an emergency alert to evacuate at around 9.20pm last Thursday along with residents of East Coraki, Coraki’s Caravan Park and foreshore and Richmond Terrace, with the directions still in place Monday morning.
A ‘watch and act – do not enter floodwater’ alert was renewed for Lismore and nearby Bungawalbin at around 9.30am.
South Lismore residents received official advice of a ‘reduced threat, return with caution’ at around 8.30pm Sunday, around three hours after residents of Kyogle Flat further inland received the same advice.
East Lismore residents received official advice of a ‘reduced threat, return with caution’ shortly after 3.00pm Sunday, two hours after residents of Upper Jiggi, Upper Goolmangar, Upper Back, Upper Terania and Upper Leycester Creeks, all in the Lismore local government area’s hinterlands, received the same advice.
