The SES has sent out alerts for a range of areas to continue to MONITOR CONDITIONS for flooding including Lismore, Wardell, Coraki and Woodburn.
The SES has stated that while t flooding has eased, communities should be cautious as bridges and roads may still be impacted by floodwater and infrastructure may be damaged.
A MONITOR CONDITIONS has been put out for:
- Lismore and surrounds
- Woodburn and surrounds
- Swan Bay and surrounds
- Broadwater and surrounds
- Wardell and surrounds
- Coraki and surrounds
Wilsons River – Lismore
No further flooding is expected in the Wilsons River, however, ‘The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) advises The Wilsons River at Lismore (AHD) is currently at 3.67 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (4.20 m). The Wilsons River at Lismore (AHD) is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.20 m),’ said a spokesperson for the SES.
Richmond River – Coraki
‘The BOM advises the Richmond River at Coraki is currently at 4.08 metres and falling, with minor flooding. The Richmond River at Coraki is expected to fall below the minor flood level (3.40 metres) Thursday evening.’
Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by floodwaters:
- Road inundations and transport disruptions
- Potential for flooding of lowlying areas
- Possible impacts to infrastructure and services
