A young man has died following a single-vehicle crash near Mullumbimby on Sunday night.
About 7.10pm Sunday, 18 May, emergency services were called to Left Bank Road, Mullumbimby, following reports of a crash.
Police attached to Tweed-Byron Police District have been told a vehicle had left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver was assisted by community members who commenced CPR prior to the arrival of emergency services.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and treated the driver; however, he was unable to be revived.
While yet to be formally identified, the driver is believed to be a 19-year-old man.
A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Tweed-Byron Police District commenced inquiries into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
