UPDATE: Police say Mr Murdoch has been found and have thanked those who helped in the public appeal.
EARLIER: Police have issued a public alert for help finding 49-year-old Guy Murdoch, believed to be traveling from Queensland to Sydney.
Officers say Mr Murdoch was most recently spoken to on Thursday 29 May and the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command started an investigation when he couldn’t be found or contacted afterwards.
Police say inquiries have led them to believe Mr Murdoch may have been seen in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, about 6pm Friday 30 May 2025.
They say his family is concerned for his welfare as Mr Murdoch is acting out of character.
The missing man is described as Caucasian with a medium build, blue eyes and brown hair.
Police believe he may be in a vehicle travelling to the Sutherland Shire area from Queensland and say he is known to frequent the Caringbah, Cronulla and Kiama areas.
