
On Friday the Westpac Rescue Helicopter attended two rural accidents, one near Kyogle and one near Murwillumbah.
Kyogle
Around 11.30am Friday 11 July, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a property at Terrace Creek, northwest of Kyogle.
A man in his 30s sustained spinal injuries after a log rolled off a tractor onto him.
The patient was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
Stokers Siding
Around 2.45 pm Friday 11 July, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a property at Stokers Siding, south of Murwillumbah.
A man in his 60s sustained serious injuries to his hand in a lawn mower accident.
The patient was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Gold Coast University Hospital.
