NSW Police say a body of a man has been located during a search for a man missing near Nimbin.
The 67-year-old man was last seen in Nimbin about 4pm on Friday, August 8, 2025.
When he could not be contacted or located officers from Richmond Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
As part of the investigation, emergency services conducted several searches of bushland at Stony Chute in the days since he was reported missing.
About 10.35am yesterday, Wednesday, August 20, police located the body of a man during a search of a property at Stony Chute.
While yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
