Six units are proposed at the eastern end of New City Road, Mullumbimby, on a site that was inundated during the 2022 floods. Submitted by Duncan Band's Kollective, Development Application (DA) 10.2026.269.1 at 73 New City Road is on public exhibition with Byron Shire Council, and sits within the Shire's flood planning area.

The annual shooting of the Byron Writers Festival vollies by Jeff ‘My Pictures are Worth About 650 Words’ Dawson.

Starting today the Byron Writers Festival will be igniting imaginations, stirring conversations, and celebrating the power of stories at the picturesque Bangalow Showgrounds on Bundjalung Country.

The festival is on from today until Sunday 8–10 August and this amazing team of volunteers aim to ensure that your experience at the festival is as smooth as possible.
