Tweed Byron police say they charged nine people for breaching Apprehended Violence Orders and four for stalking/intimidation offences in a domestic violence context last week.
The arrests included a 27-old Newrybar man charged with six serious domestic violence offences, including aggravated break and/or enter and using a carriage service to harass.
He was refused bail and due to appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on 17 October.
A 23-old Queensland woman was to appear at the same court on 29 September, charged with domestic violence related stalking and/or intimidation and dangerous driving by deliberately ramming a vehicle and destroying it.
The domestic violence related charges were among twenty listed by local police across the region last week.
A 16-year-old Pottsville boy was accused of confronting an off-duty officer in Pottsville and wielding a knife at him.
He was charged with being armed with intent to commit a serious offence and scheduled to appear before a Children’s Court on 17 September.
