A DV recovery workshop for women provided in partnership with the Murwillumbah Community Centre will be held at the centre on Saturday, November 1 from 10am till 12pm.
Called Women Out of (his) Control Workshops (WOW), co-organiser and social worker, Dr Kate Costigan, says it will be an ‘expressive arts workshop for any woman who has experienced abuse, at any time in her life’.
She says, ‘The workshop uses creative play with paper, words, colour and song to celebrate women, and help heal the past – there is no arts experience necessary’.
