Got a question on cannabis?
Andrew Katelaris and Andrew Kavasilas are hosting a patient information symposium at the Nimbin Town Hall, Saturday October 18 from 11am till 4pm
Co-organiser Michael Balderstone says, ‘There wouldn’t be much about cannabis they don’t know between them’.
‘Dr Katelaris also known as Dr Pot, has been playing with the plant since his teens, growing it for seed, building and of course using the medicine in his healing life’.
‘Andrew Kavasilas has similarly spent his life studying the plant, and is a long time hemp licence holder and consultant in the industry.
Kavasilas says, ‘This patient information session is for anyone wanting to learn about medical cannabis and its longstanding benefits in Australia. Our main goal is to share our insights on medical cannabis oil products specifically designed for those who don’t smoke or use cannabis recreationally.’
‘We aim to reach individuals who may have never used cannabis and are interested in its potential benefits without the effects of intoxication. It’s important to recognise that these oils and extracts are quite different from traditional perceptions of medical cannabis.
‘During this session, you’ll gain awareness of the current scientific understanding of medical cannabis, highlighting how much is still being discovered in this field. We’ll feature insights from leading cannabis researchers who will discuss the challenges of studying this complex plant, its diverse compounds, and how it interacts uniquely with each individual.’
