Jewish leaders and the wider community need to recognise the elephant in the room, being that the actions of the current Israeli government in Gaza , the West Bank and Lebanon is a cause of rising antisemitism across the world.
This rising aggression is fuelled in both directions by hate and right-wing support dressed as religion, by social media algorithms which induce hate and division.
Unless Israel starts acting as a true humane world partner, it will incubate hate and antisemitism.
This won’t stop governments need to act on guns and on social media algorithms, kerb fake news, anonymity and hate speech, which is now the new daily news source for most.
Without action things will get worse not better.
In the interim, call out the elephant in the room.
