NSW Polce say a woman has died in hospital following a crash at Whiteman Creek, about 21km northwest of Grafton, last week.
They said in a media release, ‘About 2:45pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026, emergency services were called to Clarence Way following reports of a crash’.
‘On arrival, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District located a Nissan Navara that had crashed into a tree.
‘The driver – a 71-year-old woman – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being flown to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.
‘Police have since been notified that the woman died in hospital on Tuesday 27 January 2026.
‘Inquiries into the crash are continuing and a report will be prepared for the Coroner’.
