Around 10pm on Tuesday 17 February , a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from the Tweed Valley Hospital to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A female in her 50s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.
Also yesterday, at around 7:00pm, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from the Maclean Hospital to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A 2-year-old child who was suffering a serious medical condition was stabilised by hospital staff, the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.
