The M1 Pacific Motorway is open again after being closed northbound approaching the Bruxner Highway in Pimlico (south of Ballina) owing to a crash involving a truck and a pedestrian.
According to Live Traffic NSW (https://www.livetraffic.com/incident-details/269262), the incident occurred around 6pm last night (Thursday) and the highway re-opened at 12am.
There are various reports that the man was on the highway after exiting his vehicle in the emergency lane. He was struck by the truck and died at the scene.
